"Find something you love to do and you'll never have to
work a day in your life." — Harvey Mackay
That pretty much describes what Nicolas Palan has
done. His love for music, and the guitar, developed
early in his life and continued to grow as he got older.
Even before he graduated from high school, he knew
what he wanted to do—play the guitar professionally,
and share his passion with others by becoming a
teacher. He enrolled in the University of Denver's
prestigious Lamont School of Music where he earned
a Bachelor of Music degree in 2002. He completed his Master's
Degree in
Guitar Performance
in 2005 at the University of Northern Colorado.
His training also includes certification in the Suzuki method for early childhood instruction, and he is a registered teacher of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Nicolas believes that the best teachers are those who never stop learning, and he continues to pursue his studies in guitar and instruction in the Alexander Technique.
Besides his personal accomplishments and education,
Nick's strongest attribute as a teacher may well be
his enduring patience. His easy-going style of teaching
is much enjoyed and appreciated by his students, who
range in age from three to 72.
